Dr. Louis N. Radden, DO, of Spine Specialists of Michigan is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of complex back and spine conditions. Dr. Radden uses both surgical and non-surgical solutions to manage complex spinal problems, and for patients with chronic pain, he is also an expert in pain management.

While Dr. Radden uses state-of-the-art solutions to treat complex conditions and injuries to the spine and musculoskeletal regions, he begins with the tried and true approach of listening to and spending time with each patient to understand symptoms and concerns before making a diagnosis and treatment plan.

Dr. Radden has been practicing in Michigan since 2006 and is Board Certified in Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery.

Dr. Tarek Radwan, FAANS, FCNS, MRCS, MRCP

Neurosurgeon

Dr. Radwan is an ABNS Board-Certified Neurosurgeon and Complex Spine Surgeon. He has had an extensive career, built on dedicated training & service to his patients and communities.  He trained in both the UK & USA, and served as Neurosurgery Section Chief at his prior positions, supporting multiple ACS-Certified Trauma Centers since 2012. He took pleasure in the teaching of residents, and medical / nursing/ PA students at many prestigious institutions.

Dr Radwan’s current practice focuses on providing state of the art surgical care for traumatic injuries, degenerative spine conditions, tumours of the brain and spine. He ran a thriving elective practice in both minimally invasive spine, and complex deformity and revisional / reconstructive spine surgery. He is often sought for second opinions, and difficult prior failed neck and failed back surgery cases. He has served as an invited expert panelist for the Medical Malpractice Panel evaluating cases brought before it. He is also sought for providing Peer Review Evaluations of other physician colleagues, and helping improve the quality of overall patient care.

Dr. Robert Hill, D.O.

Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. Robert Hill, originally from Pennsylvania, earned a medical degree from The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. After a rotating internship, he worked for two years with the Indian Health Service, assigned to the Navajo tribe in Gallup, New Mexico.

He completed his orthopedic surgical residency at Michigan State University. During his final year of residency, Dr. Hill was awarded the AO resident trauma fellowship which was completed at Tampa General Hospital. Following resi-dency training, Dr. Hill completed a fellowship in Arthritis and Reconstructive Surgery at the Cleve-land Clinic Hospital, under Lester Borden, M.D., in Cleveland Ohio.

Upon completion of his fellowship he moved to Cincinnati to enter private practice, and co-founded Ohio Valley Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. While practicing in Cincinnati, Dr. Hill has provided orthopedic sports medicine coverage for local high school football and sport teams. He has served as a volunteer instructor at the University of Cincinnati, Department of Orthopedic Surgery, where he spent time providing physician leadership and resident training at the VA Medical Center.

In 2014, Dr. Hill was named by Cincinnati Magazine as one of the top 100 doctors in the greater Cincinnati area. Shortly after, Dr. Hill was recruited by a hospital system to develop an Orthopedic Total Joint program in the central Florida area and relocated there shortly after. There, he founded the "Institute for Bone and Joint Disorders,” which provides Orthopedic services to a number of groups in the Florida, Georgia, and Texas area.

Dr. Hill is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Osteopathic Orthopedic Surgeons. Along with practicing general orthopedics, his special interests include sports medicine, trauma and adult reconstructive surgery. He is the father of 8 children and enjoys time with his wife and family.

Dr. Jason A. Bitkowski, D.O.

Spine and Pain Management

Dr. Jason A. Bitkowski, D.O. is a specialist in the field of interventional pain management. He uses a multi-modality approach to pain management for patients with chronic and traumatic pain conditions. Dr. Bitkowski is a Board-Certified General Surgeon from Henry Ford Health System with a fellowship from Georgetown Washington, D.C. in Surgical Breast Oncology. In addition, he has developed and extensive relation with the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.

Dr. Bitkowski has tailored his pain management skills in conjunction with the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians in Memphis, Tennessee providing patients with advanced cutting edge solutions.

Practicing since 2009, an individual approach is applied where patients are first with dedication, concern and professionalism.

Selena Machia, PA-C

Physicians Assistant

Selena graduated as the valedictorian of her class at Westfield State College with bachelor's degrees in Spanish and Economics, and then went on to get a master's degree in physician assistant studies.

She has worked in neurosurgery since 2013 at various hospitals in the northeast including Rhode Island Hospital, Southcoast Health and Hartford Hospital. During that time Selena specialized in neurosurgery. She gained her OR experience by assisting in craniotomies for primary & metastatic tumors and cerebral hemorrhages as well as laminectomies, discectomies, and cervical & lumbar fusions.

Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, Selena worked as a Spanish Medical Interpreter at Baystate Medical Center in Massachusetts. Loving to travel, Selena served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Fiji, and has also lived in Ecuador and Costa Rica. She is an avid runner and has completed three marathons including the Boston Marathon. She has now relocated permanently to Florida to follow her passion for slalom water skiing.

Selena has a passion for helping others. She feels listening to her patients is key, and loves being a part of their care that brings them to their happier and healthier lives.
